Steve Stanley

January 28: Steven Stanley awarded William H. Twenhofel Medal

We just learned that Steve Stanley was the 2008 recipient of the Society for Sedimentary Geology's (SEPM) William H. Twenhofel  Medal.  It is the SEPM's highest honor and is awarded in recognition of "Outstanding Contributions to Sedimentary Geology." Steve received his award at the 2008 President's Reception and Awards Ceremony, during the SEPM Annual Meeting held in San Antonio, Texas on Tuesday, April 22, 2008. Congratulations to Steve!

Paul Kemp

January 22: Paul Kemp to receive Distinguished Service Award from ASLO

On 26 January 2009 in Nice, France, Paul Kemp and his wife Sue Feng will receive the prestigious “Distinguished Service Award” of the American Society of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO). Congratulations on a job well done!

In addition to this well earned recognition by the Society, we would like to mention two other awardees with connections to C-MORE: Mike Pace, who will receive the “G. E. Hutchinson Medal,” and Peter J. le B. Williams, who will receive the “A.C. Redfield Lifetime Achievement Award.” Both Mike and Peter have been faculty members in the C-MORE / AgouronSummer Training Course. Congratulations to all!
